About
Marvin Vasquez Molina is a center back defender with over a decade of field experience. Additionally, he has excelled as a center defensive midfielder for the past four years. In 2017, Marvin led the Maryland International Soccer Club to victory at the ESPN tournament in Orlando, FL. His outstanding talent was further showcased in 2022 when he propelled his high school soccer team to the Maryland State Championship in the 1A category, scoring a crucial goal in the final as a sophomore.
In 2023, Marvin was selected by CCL United to participate in the prestigious Gothia Cup in Sweden, where his team reached the semi-finals. During the 2023-2024 season, he demonstrated his progress with FC Frederick 06 Boys in Frederick, Maryland, achieving an impressive record of 25 wins, 10 draws, and 5 losses, and making it to the semi-finals in the Maryland State Cup while also qualifying for Regionals.
November 2024 was Marvin's return to the Maryland State Finals with Brunswick High School during his senior year. Despite a heart-wrenching loss in penalties, Marvin's decisive assist in the dying moments of the final pushed the match into extra time. His exceptional efforts earned him accolades such as Second Team All State in Maryland high schools, CMC First Team, and Frederick County Defensive Player of the Year.
Marvin's lifelong dream has always been to succeed as a professional soccer player. Beginning at the age of five, his love for the sport has grown alongside his talent. He consistently proves to his coaches and teammates that he can compete with anyone. In December 2024, Marvin was invited by CD Castellon in Spain for a five-day trial with the U19 Juvenile A team, showcasing his skills to international coaches. While in Spain, he was scouted by the Albacete Balompié club director and offered a spot with their Juvenile U19 squad for the second half of the season. Currently, Marvin is proudly playing for the Albacete Balompié U19 Juvenile team.
